Far from reading text from a PowerPoint slide, when designing for ILT, our ISD team focuses on a structured plan with face-to-face interactions, real-time feedback and clarification, hands-on activities, group learning, and structured evaluations. Often, we will structure an ILT modality in the context of a learning system as opposed to a one-time event. This can place ILT as a pre-curser to over-the-shoulder (OTS) training with an expert, or after an IMI to provide scaffolding on previously learning basic facts and concepts.
